Icon Design

AV Works is a home automation and design integration company servicing commercial buildings and residential homes in the Edmonton region including St. Albert, Sherwood Park and area. They install smart home technology systems as well as create custom theatre rooms, commercial board rooms and more.

Working as a contractor with The Media Shop Collective, I was tasked with redesigning/developing AV Work’s website. We really wanted to use photography of their projects to break up segments of white space throughout the design. The large photos also showcase their work and create an eye-catching impact for potential customers. A sans-serif, capitalized and bold typeface was chosen as the primary heading for this project, to reflect a modern, attention-grabbing persona. Custom-designed icons are found on the services pages, and each category is represented by a specific colour.
